Lorac Beauty and the Beast Cheek Palette Review & Swatches

Lorac Beauty and the Beast Cheek Palette Review & Swatches
I love a good blush palette, and the Lorac Beauty and the Beast Cheek Palette ($28 at Kohls) might be the prettiest one I've owned to date. Everything about it is beautiful, from the packaging to the shades inside and I've found myself using it a lot this summer, even taking it on vacation with me.

Let's take a look!

Lorac Beauty and the Beast Cheek Palette
The Lorac Beauty and the Beast Cheek Palette features three shades of their Color Source Blush (one of my favorite formulas ever) and one Light Source Highlighter. The pink tones of the blush are definitely more girly and feminine than the shades in the Pirates of the Caribbean blush palette, which leaned more toward nude side (I loved those too!).

Shades include:
  • See Beyond (mauve shimmer)
  • Fearless (light golden shimmer)
  • Enchanted (petal pink matte)
  • Rose (rosy pink shimmer)

Lorac Beauty and the Beast Cheek Palette Review

If you're familiar with Lorac's Color Source blushes, it should come as no surprise that these go on with a super silky feel and are highly pigmented. I have to barely tap my brush into each pan to get great color payoff, so these aren't blushes that you have to keep building up. I will say though, that while the shade range is fantastic for my lighter skin tone, I don't see these showing up well on deeper skin tones.
I brought this on vacation with me recently when we went to Newport, RI and I found that this was easy to pack because it's so slim. Every day, I found myself using only this palette to add color to my face, even though I brought other eyeshadows and blushes with me. I layered See Beyond and Enchanted together on my cheeks and used the golden highlighter, Fearless on my eyes all over the lid with just mascara. I'm not sure what made me decide to use the highlighter as an eyeshadow but it ended up being beautiful! It brightened up my eyes so much without being overly shimmery...I loved it the first day I tried it and just continued doing the same thing every day of the trip.

Overall, this is a stunning palette and if you love Lorac's blushes you don't want to miss out on this one. It's already sold out at Ulta.com but it's still available at Kohls.com and in Kohls stores.
