L.A. Colors Browie Wowie Brow Pencil Review

L.A. Colors recently sent me a few shades of their new Browie Wowie Brow Pencils to try and I couldn't wait to review them for you guys because they're such a steal! They're only $3 a piece (yes, you read that right) and can be found at stores like Dollar General, Family Dollar, and Kmart as well as on the L.A. Colors website.

Let's take a look!

The Browie Wowie Brow Pencils come with a slanted tip, which has become pretty popular these days vs. the standard pointed tip. I really like using this kind of shape, as I can use the sharpest edge to draw in "hairs" where I don't have any, then flip the pencil over and use the flatter side to fill in larger areas quickly.

These come in 8 shades and L.A. Colors was nice enough to send me the three lightest shade options...Taupe, Dark Blonde, and Soft Brown. Taupe is my favorite shade and the one that I'm wearing in the photos below because it's very cool-toned just like my natural brow color. It's also the lightest shade and even though my brows aren't blonde I prefer filling in my brows with a slightly lighter shade. I find that if I match my color exactly, it ends up looking too dark overall...I like them to look a bit more muted and understated.

I find these pencils to be a bit on the stiffer side (kind of like Anastasia's Brow Wiz) but I actually prefer that in a brow pencil. If they're too creamy I find that they smudge or wear off during the day. Once I apply these, they stay put and don't move around. They do come with a spoolie brush on the other end, but since my brow hairs naturally point down, I have to seal this with a clear brow gel to keep them in place.
Before and After Using the Taupe Shade
Here's the final look...I love being able to create full, natural-looking brows with a $3 brow pencil!

The L.A. Colors Browie Wowie Eyebrow Pencils are definitely a hidden gem, and if you're out at Dollar General or Family Dollar, don't forget to check them out! :)

Also available on the  L.A. Colors website.

  1. I love it, and it makes a huge difference even though it still looks natural!

  2. Their single matte shadows are AMAZING!

  3. I bought this and love it. I prefer it over my benefit kabrow. I do have to use a brow gel over it but no big deal use that anyways.
